All of the handles are solid steel, not the hollow pipe junk that came with the weight stack cable system I bought. These were great, in fact I ordered them in a few different colors - great for walking, comfortable and lots of support. The wire they are connected to is very thin as well so they wont get tangled or snag on anything and sturdy enough to not feel like they will snap.
