They cleaned up but the damage was done. Very sleek and modern. Extra effort is needed for turning the head (I feel my hate every time when turning my head), not to mention sudden fall off of the earpiece because of the pulling of the cable (in terms of weight and friction) even when the earpieces are supposedly holding the front and back of my ears securely, you see how serious the unpleasure is. 1 star for ease of assembly. It still has a pressed-wood smell, but I have to literally bend down and put my nose right near it to smell it, and Im sensitive to odors. I purchase this item from Amazon and was so very pleased with the outcome.
