I will admit that, on attempting to repair my first set of lights, I did get the blow heater too close and it melted the covering to the existing wiring at the edges of the solderseal unit. Case is thick enough to provide adequate protection to your expensive device from drops, bumps and scuffs, while not adding much to the overall weight. Ive tried a lot of nice gaming mouse pads over the years and this one is definitely a contender for the best large square pad out there, for sure an S-tier mouse pad.
