I honestly feel like the USB is just for power to light the LED and strengthen the noise cancellation. I ordered 3 more for my other grandkids bikes. It is not reauseable. Can walk/run and they stay in place. This works but it isnt that great. Too narrow right across the toes - check! I like to carry these around with me & this gives me the piece of mind that they wont get broken. it is short, i would highly suggest 8 to 10 inch ones. At this point I am pissed. I am (dreading) looking as I enter my room every night that I am going to see it collapsed.
