The jars fit fully into the wooden box so you dont see them. Or anyone who wants to have warm & comfy feet in during the fall & winter. For the stud, I ignored their instructions and used a 3/16 drill bit (they suggest 9mm which to me seemed WAY too big), and I made a mark on the bit at 7/8" so I only drilled into the wall/stud that deep. They won’t last you. No one really needs a heated towel warmer, right? Its a little luxury, a thing that makes a bathroom look like a fancy hotel or spa. I will contact the company and see if I can get a replacement pair. Love these! Comfortable to wear its super soft and thin, barely feels as if anything is on my face. I followed their suggestions including cleaning the mouse and replugging it but none of these solutions worked. And when I finally did get it together, the leg assembly seemed skewed a bit, somewhat out of alignment.
