You will look goofy on shorts though but bad apples in proper work jeans. 5 and 8 shoe size. This water shoe works great for by the shore, or in the kayak. Im not sure of my current waist measurement but Im 58, I wear a size 18/20 if that helps. Fit really well. I did not unclip the muffler as recommended- just worked around it. I feel like if you can fit these , then you don’t need them. The leather in the shoe squeaked when my wife walked. I initially thought the Mini was better but I am a little less precise with it. love these and they fit perfect, easy to walk in
