The audio quality is alright out of the box with plenty of bass, but can sound a lot better with a little EQ tweaking. I ordered the same size that I had on both previous pairs but on this style they seemed a bit smaller. May be my best ever Amazon purchase 5 ***** Still worth it due to it having multiple sales for around 135 dollars, which is still an absolute killer deal for this keyboard. Its a unique product with many great attributes. I got this kit to compliment them. The jack is nice too, it appears gold plated and has a nice bend protector. The sound is great, they stay in when walking and moving without any problems. They are made for walking and being outside, not standing still all day. YMMV
